Ignited by a High School Coffee Table
Bruce Hobson’s journey with wood began over 50 years ago as a teenager, crafting a coffee table in high school.
This early spark ignited a lifelong passion that led him to build a log home with his own hands and eventually to the intricate artistry he practices today.
In 2009-2010, Bruce further honed his skills at the Inside Passage School of Fine Cabinetry in Roberts Creek, BC,studying under the renowned craftsman Robert Van Norman.
This experience deepened his understanding of wood and refined the intricate artistry he practices today.
Bruce’s workshop is nestled in the heart of Northern BC
This is where he draws inspiration from the surrounding forests.
He is dedicated to using locally and ethically sourced wood, often incorporating salvaged or reclaimed timber into his creations.
